Anne Van Beber
Good Housekeeping turned to Anne Van Beber, professor of nutritional sciences, for its feature on what happens when you eat blueberries every day.

“Blueberries … have been shown to protect against cardiovascular disease and diabetes, promote brain health and cognition, support gut health and aid in exercise recovery,” Van Beber said, adding that the berries’ anti-inflammatory anthocyanins help athletes bounce back faster.

The story also shares her practical advice: keep a bag of wild blueberries in the freezer so healthy add-ins are always on hand and — bonus — cost less per serving.
