Professor Matt Chumchal, doctoral students named American-Scandinavian Foundation Fellows
Matt Chumchal, biology professor and director of the Pre-Health Professions Institute, and doctoral students Nicole Fordree, Ph.D. ’31, and Camryn Middlebrooks, Ph.D. ’30, have been named American-Scandinavian Foundation Fellows. The team received grant funding to support its 2026–2027 Greenland field season, where researchers will continue studying how mercury moves through Arctic ecosystems while expanding their work to include an Arctic fox population that has never before been sampled for contaminants.
