Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics (BA)
This is the basic liberal arts degree in the Department of Mathematics. This degree is appropriate for students seeking careers in both mathematical and non-mathematical industries. The BA in mathematics also prepares students to become elementary and secondary mathematics teachers. In addition, students earning the BA degree in mathematics have the option of applying for TCU’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and the Department of Mathematics’ Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program.
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BS)
This degree is appropriate for students planning to go on to graduate school in mathematics and related fields, and for anyone who wants a more challenging mathematical experience at TCU.
Actuarial Science Majors
This program is designed to prepare students for careers in insurance, risk analysis, pension management, financial planning and other related areas. The actuarial concentration can be combined with either the Bachelor of Arts (BA) or the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics.
