If you are not roping, shooting, or golfing, we encourage you to check out local sites, shops, and restaurants. Amarillo boasts many activities for the young, or young-at-heart. Visit Wonderland Amusement Park, The Discovery Center, American Quarter Horse Museum and Hall of Fame, or The Panhandle Plains Historical Museum. Shop for antique treasures on Route 66; make a fabulous find at one of the many unique boutiques in Wolflin Village and Wolflin Square; necessary items at large retail stores within Westgate Mall and other specialty shops throughout the city. Grab a can of spray paint and spend some time at the Cadillac Ranch.

Take your pick of our fabulous fare while in the Texas Panhandle – Amarillo is best known for its local “dives.” Grab a bite from Blue Sky, The Golden Light Cantina, Coyote Bluff, Green Chile Willys, or 575 Pizzeria… Just to name a few. If you’re in the mood to take a trip across the border, eat at local favorites such as El Tejavan, Tacos Garcia, or El Bracero. For the outdoor and nature lovers, spend the day in beautiful Palo Duro Canyon or stroll through the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center. We welcome you to Amarillo!
