Geological sciences explore the dynamic processes that have shaped our planet for billions of years. Through classroom instruction, laboratory research and field experiences, you'll investigate Earth's history, natural resources, climate, hazards and changing landscapes while developing the scientific and analytical skills to solve real-world challenges.
As a geological sciences student, you'll gain hands-on experience in the field and the lab while studying topics such as sedimentology, paleontology, geochemistry, structural geology, geospatial technologies and Earth systems. Working closely with faculty mentors, you'll participate in research and experiential learning that prepare you for graduate study and careers across a wide range of industries.
