Industrial Advisory Board
TCU Computer Science Industry & Government Advisory Board is to build a strategic, ongoing partnership between TCU Computer Science and leaders across industry and government — to advance education, research, and workforce development in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
The Board brings outside perspective to a department at an inflection point: a new Ph.D. program, a growing faculty, and university investment in research-grade AI infrastructure. Its members help ensure that what we teach and the research we pursue stay aligned with where the field — and the workforce — is actually heading.
What the Board Does
For the University
The Advisory Board provides strategic guidance on technology trends, workforce needs, and research directions. It helps ensure that our curricula — undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. — remain relevant, rigorous, and aligned with real-world demands.
For Students
The Advisory Board connects students with industry and government leaders through mentorship, engagement, and experiential opportunities. It offers insight into career pathways, hiring practices, and emerging fields, while facilitating internships, research opportunities, and full-time placement.
For Industry & Government Partners
Board participation offers direct engagement with a high-quality talent pipeline and early access to emerging graduates. Members help shape the future workforce, influence curriculum and research directions, and build meaningful collaborations with TCU faculty and students.
