Mechanical engineering student Jadon Wuilliez '25 is representing Team Antigua and Barbuda in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Sean Haight ’09 graduated from TCU with a degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to earn his master’s in transportation safety engineering from George Washington University, and then his doctorate in computational science from George Mason University. As the Senior Staff Passive Safety Test Engineer at Tesla, he is in charge of crash and safety testing.

A Q&A with Fulbright recipient Cooper Gould

Junior electrical engineering major, Andrew Pineider, didn’t take the traditional path of a high school graduate; however, he brings a unique background to his academic studies at TCU.

In the fall of 2019, Steve Weis, professor and chair of the engineering department, recognized the need for a new chemistry course and started developing it.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) chapter at TCU gives students interested in electrical engineering the opportunity to engage with each other outside of the classroom. Last year, IEEE President Mike Tran started a community outreach program teaching electrical engineering to Paschal High School students.

Jim Huffman, associate professor of professional practice in engineering at TCU, and founder of Beyond the Light Project, originally started out as a French major. When he began his undergraduate studies, he wasn’t quite sure which direction he wanted to go. But through some trial and error, Huffman shifted his studies to electrical engineering and found that he not only had the skills, but more importantly he had a passion for it.

Beebe has recently been working with Liran Ma, associate professor of computer science, on the DSound application.
