Dr. Eugenia Cheng, Scientist in Residence at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, will be visiting the TCU Department of Mathematics as a Green Honors Chair. Dr. Cheng has a Ph.D. from the Cambridge University. She is a mathematician, educator, author, public speaker, columnist, concert pianist, composer, and artist who has been interviewed on NPR, BBC, and "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert." She will be giving the following lectures:

  • Is Math Real?
  • Gender in Math, Science, and Beyond
  • Higher-Dimensional Ballet

Dr. Sue Staples of the TCU Department of Mathematics is the 2024 winner of the Wassenich Award for Mentoring in the TCU Community. This award was established by Mark and Linda Wassenich to celebrate TCU’s defining characteristic of mentoring for many generations. Enjoy this video celebrating Sue's contributions.
Dr. Ze-Li Dou of the TCU Department of Mathematics recently served on a panel for the radio show, Spirituality, AI, and the Ancient Game of Go on Australia’s ABC Radio National.
